Leora Joy STUDIO is proud to present :
A slow touch, a questioning gaze: reconnecting with play in a frenetic age
- Led by Shellaine Godbold at Leora Joy STUDIO
Leora Joy STUDIO invites you to play: a rebellious act in an age that demands productivity. Through play you can source your creative voice. Leora Joy STUDIO is a space that invites you to be, observe, or make. There is no demand to find an answer, there is simply an invitation.
A slow touch, a questioning gaze is a series of six workshops designed and led by Shellaine Godbold. Each workshop invites participants to reconsider the materials that surround us. From the paper we make notes on to the plastic bags that hold our rubbish – each material has a voice and a story to tell.

Meet your facilitator
Shellaine Godbold is an Australian artist and educator whose practice is rooted in drawing, material investigation, and the use of art as a form of communication. Her work explores the human need to connect across the spaces that exist between us. Drawing is both a meditative process and a means to draw out meaning. Shellaine is committed to designing learning experiences that are responsive, inclusive, and grounded in collaboration and play. Her facilitation is shaped by contemporary art discourse, Reggio Emilia principles, and interdisciplinary approaches to knowledge-making.
